A Planning Methodology for Intelligent Urban Transportation Systems

The Umverstty of Cahforma Transportation Center (UCTC) is one of ten regional umts mandated by Congress and estabhshed m Fall 1988 to support research, education, and t~mng m surface transportation The UC Center serves f~eral Region IX and Is supported by matching grants from the U S Department of Transportation, the Calfforma Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and the Umvers~ty Based on the Berkeley Campus, UCTC draws upon existing capabthues and resources of the Insnmtes of Transportation Studies at Berkeley, Davis, Irvme and Los Angeles, the Insumte of Urban and Remonal Development at Berkeley, and several acadermc departments at the Berkeley, Davis.
